Director, Founder & Cosmetic Chemist
Alex has over 11 years of first-hand industry experience and has held Technical, Product Development, Project Management and Scientific positions in FMCG and Contract Manufacturing (both lab-based and non-lab based).
Alex's diversified background across Personal Care categories includes notable product launches for well-known global hair care and Skin care brands working for one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, and body care and fragrance brands whilst working in Contract Manufacturing.
Her specialties include consulting on the product development lifecycle from cradle to grave, technical project leadership, claims / copywriting / consumer testing, formulation / scale up / manufacturing, raw material sourcing and quality investigation / troubleshooting.
Alex holds active memberships with CEW UK (Cosmetics Executive Women) and is a Young Executive, and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, and LEAD Network. As an active particpant in the SCS, Alex gives lectures, creates content for essay and examination questions, and is a guest speaker at universities and careers fairs.
Her education consists of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, a Master's Degree in Chemistry, and is ClearCast trained on advertising and claims compliance.
